Abigail Smith Adams was born in Weymouth, Massachusetts on November 11, 1744. Her husband was John Adams was the first vice-president and the second president. Abigail and John Adams were called "Grandparents of their country". They got married in 1764 when she was 20 years old. They had five children, two daughters and three sons. One of their sons were John Quincy. He grew up to be and became the sixth presidnet of the United States.

Abigail never went to school because her health was very delicate. Her grandmother educated her.
