She was carried the water to the soldiers and her husband, in the Battle of Monmouth. Her nickname was Molly Pitcher. Her husband was in charge of the cannons. When he was wounded she took over his job and started to load them. The British were surprised to see that a women was loading the cannon ,they had did not even notice did the end of the battle..
