Catherine Moore Barry

In 1781, South Carolina, the battle there helped bring an end to the Revolutionary War. General Cornwallis commanded the British, however the Partiots were commanded by General Morgon. The British were looking up to defeating the Partiots. But soon Morgon realized how many man he has and they have. He looked to Catherine Moore Barry for help, since she knew every inch of the land that she lived on. She knew all of the short cuts, trails, where Patriots lived, and how to contact them. Catherine rounded up local Patriots to join the army. With the help of Catherine, General Morgon set up a trap for General Cornwallis. It worked and Cornwallis was defeated, and retreated.
